What are the best dental blogs 2013?

Since its the end of another year and people like making these kind of lists. I am pleased to have been included in a list of the best dental blogs made by the website valuepenguin.com. Recognition is welcome, especially since blogging is a "lonely" enterprise and it's pleasing to find out that my posts are enjoyed by some actual readers. I have been writing my blog since 2005 and most of visits to it are the result of Google Queries. The tittle of my posts are always in question format and some of them are a good match for the questions asked to Google.

More and more patients come to my office with information on dentistry that they have found on the internet. Some of it is good but some is misinformation. It is my hope that my blog will continue to add useful information on dentistry to the blogosphere.

Writing this blog can be challenging  since it forces me to constantly edit myself. I really can't say whatever comes to mind (a good thing!), but instead I try to write posts that others might find helpful and possibly interesting.

  4. Congratulations. Actually I found your blog in the value penguin website and I became curious on dental advice. Which do you suggest to adult patients: Invasalign or metal braces? I am planning to straighten my teeth in the near future and I want to know if what will suit me according to my age, comfort of the brace and the cost. Thanks in advance.

    1. Either can be used, but if your teeth require lots of rotation, extrusions or uprighting movements, traditional braces may be a better choice. Probably you should consider visiting an orthodontist who offers performs both of these types of orthodontics and ask him or her which would be best for you.
