Which tooth paste do you recommend?

Of course I am supposed to say "One that has the ADA seal of approval" and that is true but, most of the tooth pastes that are on the shelves in the supermarket or drugstore are fine.  Some people have reactions to tarter control formulations and most whitening tooth pastes are more abrasive than regular formulations. I usually recommend the basic formulations, that do not claim to be either tartar control or have special whitening properties. Ironically a basic tube can be hard to find. It is usually surrounded by boxes of pastes claiming to have special properties. I just went to my local Walgreen's and found the regular tooth paste displayed on the very bottom shelf. It was one third the cost of some of the "special tooth pastes"!
