Night guards all around?

In the last year I have made a large number of night guards for my patients. I tend to make simple hard acrylic night guards without any tissue contact. I recommend them for patients that exhibit asymmetric wear on their teeth and most of my patients qualify. Some deny night grinding of their teeth but their observable wear patterns usually are at least partially caused by teeth  hitting the opposing arch while they sleep. Although, I can not be sure whether they are true "bruxers", it seems prudent for them to wear a night guard at night. There is one contraindication for me to consider not recommending  a night guard... their unwillingness to wear one.
